The spoken words are from the (in)famous 1965 interview of professor J. Robert Oppenheimer where he talks about the Trinity Test held near Alamogordo, New Mexico on July 16 1945 where the first nuclear explosion occured.

From WIkipedia:
The exact origin of the code name "Trinity" for the test is unknown, but it is often attributed to Oppenheimer as a reference to the poetry of John Donne, which in turn references the Christian belief of the Trinity (i.e. God as one being existing as three persons). In 1962, Groves wrote to Oppenheimer about the origin of the name, asking if he had chosen it because it was a name common to rivers and peaks in the West and would not attract attention, and elicited this reply:

"I did suggest it, but not on that ground ... Why I chose the name is not clear, but I know what thoughts were in my mind. There is a poem of John Donne, written just before his death, which I know and love.
From it a quotation:

As West and East
In all flatt Maps – and I am one – are one,
So death doth touch the Resurrection."

From James A. Hijiya's "The Gita of J. Robert Oppenheimer":
"...a study of the Gita reveals one important source of Oppenheimer's belief that scientists should shun the ivory tower and act selflessly but effectively in the world."

"The Gita taught people to partecipate in the affairs of everyday life without becoming attached, without counting on any particular outcome."

"It was not that Oppenheimer had no misgivings about what he did at Los Alamos. It was just that his philosophy enabled him to overcome them."
